Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki was an American political advisor who served as the 34th White House press Secretary between 2021 and 2022. A member of the Democratic Party she has previously been a part of the Obama administration as White House deputy press secretary (2009), White House assistant director of communications (2009–2011) and the spokesperson for the US Department of State(2013-2015) and White House communication director (2015–2017). Psaki was an CNN political contributor from 2017 until 2020. Psaki's career began in 2001 when she worked in the reelection campaign of Tom Harkin, an Iowa Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate. Psaki was later appointed the deputy press secretary of John Kerry's presidential campaign. Psaki worked from 2005 to 2006 as the communications director for Joseph Crowley, U.S. representative, and as regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki was named press secretary for President Obama's 2012 election campaign. 20 Psaki quit as spokesperson for the United States Department of State, on February 11 2013. [20] Her hiring at the Department of State fueled speculation that she would succeed White House Press Secretary Jay Carney as he left for the White House on May 30 in 2014 it was announced that Josh Earnest would replace Carney. The White House welcomed her back to the White House in 2015 as the director of communications, and she remained there until the conclusion of Obama's presidency.
